Our Center is an accredited and licensed child care center for infants through
4 years.We also offer a VPK class.
In 2001 the Heavenly Days Child Care opened in the educational wing of the church. The school is recognized as a “Gold Seal” school in the state of Florida and is accredited by the National Association of Child Care Providers (NACCP). The Center is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Heavenly Days accepts children from age 6 weeks following the adult-child ratios set forth by DCF.
Our curriculum is a Bible based curriculum called “Wee Learn” from
Convention Press. This curriculum incorporates units with learning centers. The learning centers include an art center, block center, book and listening center, home living center, music center, nature and science center and a puzzles and manipulative center.
The Mission Statement of Heavenly Days Child Care states:
Heavenly Days Child Care (HDCC) provides a high quality, loving
Christian environment for infants, toddlers and preschoolers by:
providing a nurturing environment;
recognizing that each child is a unique person;
allowing young children to learn through play;
providing specific developmental support to parents;
developing mutually supportive relationships between families and HDCC in order to provide a firm foundation for the child’s growth;
providing a Christian role-model and loving example for each child.
Our VPK program graduates from the 2005-06 school year were tested per state requirements as they entered kindergarten. Seven of the ten graduates were enrolled in public school and were tested. Of these seven, 100% were ready for kindergarten. They achieved 47% accuracy for letter sounds and 53% accuracy for letter name recognition. This was our first year of VPK and we look forward to continuing to grow this program.
